Precision machining
for demanding applications
ALTAMET delivers precision-machined metal and plastic components for demanding industrial and aerospace applications. We manufacture parts from bar, plate and billet, as well as finish-machine cast and forged blanks.
machining capabilities
Any type of
component
From small precision parts to complex multi-axis components and large structures, ALTAMET supports virtually any machining requirement across a broad range of metals and engineering plastics. Components can be machined directly from stock or produced from casting and forging blanks. Our machining shop is certified to AS9100 with special processes accredited to NADCAP

processes
Every machining project starts with the part—not the machine. ALTAMET selects the process, equipment, workholding and inspection strategy around the component’s geometry, material, tolerances and production volume. Our capabilities range from efficient 3-axis machining and CNC turning to simultaneous 5-axis, mill-turn, EDM and large-format gantry machining

how we work
how to get
your part
Send us your drawing, 3D model or part requirements. ALTAMET reviews the geometry, material, quantity, quality requirements and delivery target, then proposes a suitable manufacturing route. We coordinate production, inspection, documentation and delivery, keeping the process simple from start to finish. You pay only after the finished parts are produced, inspected and approved, reducing sourcing risk before the order reaches your shop.

FAQ
frequently
asked questions
What information should I send for a casting quote?
For the most accurate quotation, please provide a 3D model or technical drawing, material specification, required quantity, tolerances, surface finish, testing requirements and any applicable industry standards.
STEP, STP and PDF files are commonly used. When some information is not yet available, send what you have and our team will help define the remaining requirements.
What types of parts can ALTAMET machine?
ALTAMET supplies precision-machined components ranging from small turned parts and prismatic components to complex multi-axis parts, large housings, structural elements and oversized industrial components.
What materials can you machine?
We machine a broad range of metals and engineering plastics, including aluminum, stainless steel, carbon and alloy steel, titanium, nickel-based alloys, copper alloys, magnesium, PEEK, POM, nylon, PTFE and other technical polymers.
Can you machine parts from stock, castings and forgings?
Yes. Our available large-part and gantry machining capacity supports oversized components
Can you machine large or oversized components?
Yes. Depending on project requirements, the manufacturing route can include heat treatment, anodizing, chemical conversion coating, plating, etc.
Can you handle special processes and coatings?
Yes. Components can be machined directly from bar, plate or billet, or produced from cast and forged blanks before final machining. We also support finish machining of additively manufactured parts and welded fabrications where appropriate.
Do you support prototypes and production quantities?
Yes. We support one-off prototypes, low-volume production, bridge manufacturing and repeat production programs. Automated pallet systems and FMS capacity are available for recurring orders, mixed-part batches and extended unattended machining.
Can ALTAMET provide inspection reports and documentation?
Yes. Depending on the project requirements, ALTAMET can support dimensional inspection, material certificates, mechanical testing, NDT reports, first article inspection and traceability documentation. Inspection requirements should be defined before production.
