ALTAMET delivers precision-machined metal and plastic components for demanding industrial and aerospace applications. We manufacture parts from bar, plate and billet, as well as finish-machine cast and forged blanks.

machining capabilities

Any type of
component

From small precision parts to complex multi-axis components and large structures, ALTAMET supports virtually any machining requirement across a broad range of metals and engineering plastics. Components can be machined directly from stock or produced from casting and forging blanks. Our machining shop is certified to AS9100 with special processes accredited to NADCAP

machinign capabilities

our machining
processes

Every machining project starts with the part—not the machine. ALTAMET selects the process, equipment, workholding and inspection strategy around the component’s geometry, material, tolerances and production volume. Our capabilities range from efficient 3-axis machining and CNC turning to simultaneous 5-axis, mill-turn, EDM and large-format gantry machining

CNC Milling: 3-, 4- and 5-Axis

From efficient 3-axis production to simultaneous 5-axis machining, we manufacture components with need for accurate relationships between machined features. It is particularly effective for: Housings Brackets Structural parts ManifoldsImpellers

CNC Turning

CNC turning produces accurate cylindrical and rotational components through controlled turning, facing, boring, grooving, drilling and threading operations. It is particularly effective for: Shafts Flanges Rings Sleeves

CNC Mill-Turn Machining

Mill-turn centers combine turning and multi-axis milling in a single setup, allowing complex rotational components to be completed with fewer transfers between machines. It is particularly effective for: Complex shafts Cylindrical housings Complex Rotors

CNC Wire cutting

Wire EDM uses a continuously moving electrode wire to cut precise profiles in electrically conductive materials without conventional cutting forces. It is particularly effective for: Narrow slots Fine contours Precision cut-outs Pinches Dies

CNC EDM Machining

Sinker EDM forms cavities and detailed features by reproducing the shape of a controlled electrode in electrically conductive material. It is particularly effective for: Blind cavities Sharp internal details Complex pockets

Polishing

Polishing and controlled surface finishing remove machining marks, refine appearance and prepare components for functional use or subsequent coating. It is particularly effective for: High precision surfaces Sealing surfaces Precision fit surfaces

Large Part Machining

Our large-format gantry machining capability supports oversized components subject to part geometry, weight and fixturing requirements. It is suited to components that cannot be accommodated on conventional machining centers. For example: Beams Frames Machine Bases Structural Weldments Tooling plates

how we work

how to get
your part

Send us your drawing, 3D model or part requirements. ALTAMET reviews the geometry, material, quantity, quality requirements and delivery target, then proposes a suitable manufacturing route. We coordinate production, inspection, documentation and delivery, keeping the process simple from start to finish. You pay only after the finished parts are produced, inspected and approved, reducing sourcing risk before the order reaches your shop.
